VLDB Conference, organized every year by the VLDB endowment, is a premier international forum for database researchers, vendors, practitioners, application developers, and users. VLDB 2006, the 32nd conference in the series, was held at COEX, Seoul, Korea, from September 12 to September 15, 2006. The VLDB 2006 was a big success with a total of 687 registered delegates from all over the world. 429 delegates, comprising 62% of all delegates, were from foreign countries.
