Call for Papers: Industrial and Applications Track

The Industrial, Applications, and Experience Track covers innovative commercial database
implementations, novel applications of database technology, and experience in applying recent
research advances to practical situations. We invite submissions in any of the following
example areas (or, in other areas where data management is important):

  • Advanced Analytics
  • Application Areas (Government, Finance, Telecommunications, Home and Personal Computing, Retail, ...)
  • Business Process Engineering and Execution Support
  • Big Data
  • Cloud Computing
  • Enterprise Data Management
  • Data-centric Applications for Smart Phones
  • New Hardware Exploitation
  • Self-Managing Systems
  • Web Data Management, Social Network Applications

Submission Guidelines

Papers must be submitted eletronically, in pdf format, by 10 pm PDT, March 31, 2011, using the conference management tool accessible at https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/VLDB2011/.

When you create a new paper submission in CMT, you will be given the option to choose the "Industrial, Applications, and Experience" Track. We accept papers and extended abstracts of at most 12 pages using the VLDB formatting instructions.

The author notification date is May 19, 2011.
