VLDB 2024: Information for Demo Presenters

There are two types of demo session: On-site demos in room C3.3 (no streaming online), and online-only demo sessions.

On-Site Demos

Each on-site demo presenter is provided with a table, two chairs, power strip with multiple outlets, and a pinboard. High speed WiFi is provided, but is shared and capped to 2 Mbps per device, so is probably not appropriate for streaming large datasets or video clips. Should you require faster network, please contact the VLDB2024 demo chairs.

Each pinboard is about 830mm (32.6in) wide and 1850mm (72.8in) high, and is only used for the assigned demo (no sharing of pinboards). Posters with dimensions A1 will work well with the provided pinboards. VLDB 2024 provides adhesive and pins to mount posters on the foam board.

Each demo presenter is responsible for printing and bringing their own poster.

Online Demos

Online demo presenters will be send a link to their Zoom session. Please be aware of the timezone differences. All session are shown in the program in Sydney local time. It is the responsibility of each presenter to be online in their assigned demo session at the scheduled time.

Feel free to use one of the provided VLDB 2024 Zoom backgrounds for your presentation.

Pre-recorded Video (optional)

In case of technical problems or an absent demo presenter in online demo sessions, we can play a pre-recorded video of your demo. The demo video should be about 6 - 7 minutes long. Feel free to use one of the provided VLDB 2024 Zoom backgrounds for the speaker view of your pre-recording.

Further details can be found on our instructions for video preparation.

If you would like to provide a pre-recording (this is optional):
