Format

Your camera-ready paper is due on 5 June 2000 (5:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Standard Time). Instructions on how to prepare your paper for publication in the conference proceedings are available in <format.doc>. All papers must be formatted in accordance with these instructions. For information on page-length restrictions, see Uploading Your Camera-Ready Paper

The following files are available to help you format your paper:

<vldb.sty> is a LaTeX style file, defining environments that conform to the publisher's guidelines. It should work with LaTeX versions 1 and 2. (Note: When tested, vldb.sty could be made to work only by including it through a \documentstyle directive like this: \documentstyle[vldb]{article} (this may prevent access to some LaTeX 2 features).

<vldb.doc> is a Word version of the publisher's guidelines, appropriately formatted. This file includes the required copyright notice.

When your paper is complete, it must be converted to a PDF file, 8 1/2 by 11. To minimize problems with PDF files, please refer to Recommendations on PDF Conversion.

Please be sure that your camera-ready paper, when printed, adheres to the specifications outlined in <format.doc>.

Copyright Notice and Copyright Transfer Form

Your paper must include a copyright notice. The style files <vldb.sty and vldb.doc> include this notice. The notice can also be copied from <copyright.notice.txt>.

A Copyright Transfer Form is also required. See <copyright.form.doc> for the Copyright Transfer Form. Send a signed hard copy of the Copyright Transfer Form to Allison Valentine, Morgan Kaufmann Publishers, 340 Pine Street, 6th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA, or fax to (415) 982-2665.
