The organizers of VLDB 2003 are making every effort to make it an enlightening and enjoyable experience for participants. However, neither the VLDB Endowment nor the local organizers can take responsibility for any damage, loss or inconvenience participants might incur in connection with the conference. In addition, the organizers cannot be held responsible for the correctness or appropriateness of the talks, papers, panels, tutorials and demonstrations included in the conference. In particular, changes to the published conference program or cancellation of parts thereof do not entitle participants to a full or partial refund of the conference fee.

Any personal/business information supplied to the conference will be used by the conference organization for the purposes of conference registration and administration. Names/addresses of attendees will be processed electronically and included in a list of participants that may be posted/distributed during and in connection with the conference. In addition, under control of the VLDB Endowment Board, this information may also be made available for purposes beneficial to the scientific community such as informing attendees of relevant related publications, events, or items of interest to the community. By registering for the conference, participants give their consent for such uses of their personal/business information.
