Welcome to the VLDB Journal

Welcome to the web site of the International Journal on Very Large Data Bases ('VLDB Journal' for short)! The motivation behind this web site is to share relevant information regarding this journal with anybody interested. This includes information on how to submit to the journal, on the various persons behind the journal etc.

Further, an important objective of this site is to make additional material on the various articles published in the VLDB Journal available to our community. Additional material could be:

• Transparencies of presentations related to the article -- maybe you as an author are interested in providing text, images and charts others can use in their presentations!
• Formal proofs and other material that has gone into appendixes so far -- the catch is that you can now make such material available after publication of the article, and it may also contain corrections, additional explanations that have turned out to be useful only later etc.
• Descriptions of further experiments etc. that would have bloated the article, but are of interest to some members of our community.
• Experimental data and code, allowing others to reproduce the experiments.
• Last but not least, author bios and photos, research statements/mission statements of authors, and other personal information of interest to our community.
