How to get to Edinburgh

By Air:

Edinburgh International Airport, approximately 8 miles from the city centre and the EICC, is served by many major airlines. There are regular air services direct to Edinburgh from many UK and European destinations. Visitors from outside Europe should connect at one of these cities, the most popular being London, Amsterdam and Brussels from where connecting flights take approximately one hour. 

Alternatively Glasgow International airport (50 miles from Edinburgh) has many direct flights to Europe and North America. There are regular coaches from Glasgow airport to Edinburgh

By Rail:

Waverley Station, Edinburgh's main rail station, is at the east end of Princes Street, the city's main street. Rail travel from London's Kings Cross Station takes approximately 4 hours and there are comprehensive train connections from most other cities in the UK. 

By Coach:

Long distance day or night coaches offer very fast and inexpensive services from London to Edinburgh. The journey takes approximately eight and a half hours. Coaches depart regularly from Victoria Coach Station in London.

By Road:

Edinburgh is easily accessible to the UK road network, whether travelling from the north or the south and is easily reached by road from Europe. Driving time from London, via the Ml and M6 motorways, is approximately 8 hours.
