• A valid passport is generally required for entry.
• Schengen Area
  • Germany follows the common visa policy on short-term stays of up to three (3) months.
  • Citizens of Schengen countries are not subjected to border controls within the common area, though airlines or other carriers do require an identification document (e.g. ID card or passport).

VISA Letter

Requirements for the issue of short stay (Schengen) visas:

• The purpose of the trip to Germany must be plausible and comprehensible^*
• The applicant must be in a position to finance his/her living and travel costs from his/her own funds or income.
• The visa holder must be prepared to leave the Schengen area before the visa expires.
• Documentary evidence must be provided of travel health insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros valid for the entire Schengen area.

^* An official invitation from the organiser is available during the online registration to assist you in obtaining a visa. Please apply for a "VISA Letter" during the online registration. This document does not imply any commitment on the part of the organiser to waive the registration fee or provide financial support.

Please note that we have an agreement with the German Federal Foreign Office to issue a "VISA Letter" only for registered delegates who have paid their registration fee in full.

If your visa application has been declined – for whatever reason – the congress organisers cannot be held liable for any incurred expenses, such as registration fees, accommodation, travel, financial losses, etc.

Please check with your local embassy what documents are needed to apply for a German visa.
