VLDB is a premier annual international forum for data management and database researchers, vendors, practitioners, application developers, and users. The conference will feature research talks, tutorials, demonstrations, and workshops. It will cover current issues in data management, database and information systems research. Data management and databases remain among the main technological cornerstones of emerging applications of the twenty-first century.
VLDB 2014 will take place at Hangzhou, one of the best tourism cities in China, and is organized by Zhejiang University, which was established in 1897 and has long been considered as one of the top-three universities in China.
Posters offer researchers an opportunity to obtain direct feedback about their work from a wide audience during the poster session. Poster presentations of VLDB 2014 Papers (including research papers, selected VLDB Journal papers, and PhD Workshop papers) will take place in the East Gallery of Dragon Hotel on Wednesday afternoon as part of the main conference program. Some guidelines of posters are as follows:
- The poster size is 1200mm wide X 900 high, and landscape orientation is fine.
- Consider that some people may wish to print the posters at Hangzhou instead of carrying them. To this end, you can send your final poster (PDF version is prefered) to Mr. Changlang Kuang (whose email is kuangchanglang@163.com), and then, he will help you to print it in Hangzhou. Sure, you can take your poster at the registration desk and meanwhile pay for it when you attend the VLDB 2014 conference.
- All PhD Workshop posters should label their posters appropriately to highlight that they are PhD Workshop posters so that the audience is able to be easy to identify PhD Workshop posters as separate from VLDB research paper posters and VLDB Journal paper posters.
